Wiggins Lift Co., Inc. Opens An Office In Europe

Wiggins Lift Company, the California-based marina forklift manufacturer, has recently opened an office in the UK to promote and support their equipment throughout Europe. The European office will operate under the name of “Wiggins Lift Company Europe, Ltd”. The Wiggins® Marina Bull® series of drystack forklifts has dominated the US boat handling market for some time and has built a reputation for quality, reliability and excellent performance.

“We take great pride in our excellent customer service and with more interest and enquiries from European countries, an office in Europe seemed logical,” says Mike Wiggins, President of Wiggins Lift Co. Inc. “We see Europe as a strong growth market where the concept of dry storage is catching on fast.”

The European office is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England and managed by Matthew Hardy. “I am very pleased to be associated with the Wiggins name. We have an excellent and proven product, and now the UK office will be able to provide European customers with the attention they deserve. Wiggins already has a number of marina forklifts operating in Europe, and has recently signed several new orders for delivery later this year.” It seems the Wiggins® name is already becoming established abroad.

The Marina Bull® series has some impressive statistics with lift heights approaching 20 meters and a negative reach into the water of over 7 meters. The most popular machines have a capacity of about 8 tons (lifting 10-meter boats). Wiggins also boasts the largest lifting capacity in the industry, lifting 15 meter boats weighing up to 15 tons!
