Founded in 1963 by Mel and Hattie Wiggins, Wiggins Lift Company, Inc. began as a humble welding and machine shop serving the agricultural community. Mel’s vision was to create equipment that could be easily serviced in the field, leading to the development of user-friendly machines tailored to the needs of their customers. This commitment to practical innovation laid the foundation for Wiggins Lift’s enduring legacy.

As the company grew, so did its reputation for engineering excellence. Wiggins Lift expanded its product line to include specialized forklifts and material handling equipment for industries such as agriculture, marine, mining, and military. Notably, the company’s collaboration with the U.S. Navy resulted in forklifts capable of operating on the pitching and rolling decks of Littoral Combat Ships—showcasing Wiggins’ ability to meet complex engineering challenges.
