Zero Emissions
The Wiggins eBull Series is fully zero emissions—helping you stay ahead of coming regulations that will phase out diesel in off-highway equipment. With typical equipment replacement cycles of 10 years or more, now is the time to begin electrifying your fleet. Tier IV engines are only a transitional step on the path to true zero-emissions operation.
Clean, Quiet, and Powerful
The eBull is powered by advanced high-voltage lithium-ion battery packs, with optional hydrogen fuel cells available for extended runtime and increased uptime. A safe and efficient 720 VDC system delivers strong, steady power while helping to reduce overall weight and operating costs.
A high-torque, direct-drive AC electric motor feeds power to our proven heavy-duty axles—delivering exceptional pulling strength, smooth control, and impressive gradability. With zero emissions, no fumes, and minimal noise, the eBull is ideal for enclosed or sensitive environments like warehouses, ship decks, greenhouses, and marinas.
Safety is Essential
Wiggins eBull forklifts are built with safety at the core. Our battery technology features a tested cell configuration that reduces the risk of cascade failures, while rugged steel enclosures protect battery packs from side impacts and falling objects.
The automatic park brake engages if hydraulic power is lost, and hydraulic wet disc brakes in the main drive axle are fully capable of stopping a fully loaded machine within the distances required by the ITSDF B56.1 Safety Standard—even without assistance from the electric drive motor. Regenerative braking also helps recharge the battery during deceleration.
Operator awareness and pedestrian safety are enhanced by multiple integrated systems:
- Reverse backup camera
- Daylight strobes when moving
- Optional rear-facing radar with audible and visual alerts
- Optional motion alarms, including conventional backup alarms or a white noise generator
- Pedestrian boundary lighting (optional on some models)
Protections
Every eBull is engineered with multiple layers of protection to ensure safety, durability, and uptime in demanding environments.
All high-voltage wiring, connectors, and circuit protections are designed to shield the battery system, optional hydrogen fuel cells, and all electrical components from damage. The system meets the intent of ANSI/ITSDF B56.1-2016 (Part III) and UL-583 10th Edition safety standards for electric battery-powered industrial trucks.
Key protection features include:
- Steel battery enclosures to prevent damage from impacts or debris
- High-capacity cooling systems for each battery pack
- Vibration and shock-isolated mounting for all major components
- Battery Management System (BMS) to balance charging and discharging, regulate temperature, and extend battery life
- Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) to monitor and manage power delivery and thermal performance of the liquid-cooled electric motors, inverters, and optional fuel cells
- Radiator protection with expanded metal screening
In the event of a partial battery system failure, the eBull can continue limited operation. Similarly, if hydrogen fuel is depleted, work can continue using the onboard battery power.
SAFETY
The eBull has many safety features including Daylight Strobes and Reverse Backup Camera.
ZERO EMISSIONS
Wiggins’ eBull has Zero Emissions for clean operations inside buildings and ships, without fumes, soot, or noise.
Range of Models
The Wiggins eBull is available in a range of models to meet your specific operational needs. Our first unit delivered 36,000 lbs at a 24-inch load center (16 tonnes at 600 mm), and current models support up to 88,000 lbs at a 48-inch load center (40 tonnes at 1200 mm).
Each unit includes over 100 kWh of onboard energy, allowing for full 8-hour shifts—or extended double shifts when paired with DC Fast Charging. The optional hydrogen fuel cell increases runtime even further, making the eBull ideal for high-utilization operations.
Wiggins’ patent-pending control software helps extend battery life and minimize hydrogen fuel costs. For additional model sizes or custom-built configurations, please contact Wiggins to discuss your application.
Minimal Maintenance
The Wiggins eBull is designed to reduce downtime and eliminate many of the routine service tasks associated with diesel-powered machines.
Key maintenance advantages include:
- No engine oil or filter changes
- No diesel fuel, DEF, or transmission fluid
- Minimal brake wear, since the electric motor handles most of the braking
- Onboard diagnostics to support maintenance and troubleshooting
- Air filters on battery cooling system only need annual replacement
- Non-toxic, 5-year-life polypropylene coolant
- Optional automatic greasing system for mast and steer axle
By simplifying maintenance and extending service intervals, the eBull helps lower total cost of ownership and keeps your fleet productive.
Convenience
Every eBull is designed with operator comfort and jobsite efficiency in mind. From charging access to intuitive controls, the eBull simplifies operation in busy environments.
Convenience features include:
- High-capacity charge port and optional hydrogen fuel fill located on the same side as operator access for easier alignment with charging or refueling stations
- Supports Level 2 A/C charging with one or two onboard chargers
- Supports CCS1 DC Fast Charging up to 150 kW for extended shifts
- Hydraulic system operates independently from the drive motor—eliminating the need for an inching pedal
- Full-speed lift capability while stationary
- No transmission—the operator simply selects direction of travel
- Integrated braking system communicates between brake pedal, drive motor, and hydraulic brakes for smooth stopping
- Digital display shows energy usage and remaining battery/fuel level
- High-mounted blue LED indicator alerts supervisors when charging or refueling is needed
Saves Operating Dollars
The Wiggins eBull is built to reduce total cost of ownership—eliminating many fuel and maintenance expenses common to diesel equipment.
Cost-saving advantages include:
- No diesel fuel, engine oil, or DEF
- No engine, transmission, or associated fluid changes
- Fewer moving parts and reduced wear on brake components
- Electric power is more energy-efficient than diesel, lowering cost per shift
- Optional hydrogen fuel cell system is optimized to reduce hydrogen usage and extend runtime (patent pending)
- Eligible for time-of-use electricity programs in many states—check with your local utility for additional savings
Whether you’re electrifying a fleet or replacing a single unit, the eBull helps you save on fuel, reduce downtime, and cut long-term operating costs.
