micheleAndHattieWiggins Lift Company began in Ventura County, California, in a shed with a welding rig. Today, the company ships premier forklifts all over the globe, with third-generation leader Michele Wiggins-McDowell at the helm. The founder’s wife, 95-year-old Hattie Wiggins, continues to come in to work each day. The story of how she and her husband began the company is a wonderful story of Americana, hard work, and attention to customers. We told that story in a previous post, and it garnered the attention of the local county newspaper, the Ventura County Star.

Emphasizing the family-oriented environment of the company—including the employees who are considered family—the article is a tribute to what Wiggins Lift is all about. We’d like to thank Mike Nelson and Rob Varela of the Star for the story.
